Inspiration and Originality
• Each dress is individually designed and custom-made to the client’s specifications. While we may take inspiration from other dresses or costumes, I will never copy someone else’s design, ensuring that every piece remains one of a kind.
• Every piece is one-of-a-kind and created exclusively for you and your specifications to fit your body shape, music, and choreography.
• Due to the personalized nature of my work, all sales are final. Returns or exchanges are not accepted.
Artistic License
• By commissioning Karen Drury Designs LLC to design and create a costume for you, you are entrusting our designers and their artisitic ability to create the best piece they can for you. While we will always create a design based on your input, designs may vary from your initial ideas and inspiration, and by commissioning a costume you grant full artistic license to Karen Drury Designs LLC, including choice of colors, fabrics, paints, styling, and all other aspects of designing a costume.
Deposits & Payments
• Once you have approved the design, a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the costume total is required to secure your place in my production schedule. Once this deposit is paid, I will begin sourcing materials for your costume and a timeline will be shared with you.
• The remaining 50% of the total balance is due prior to costume delivery or shipment.
Production Timeline
• Timeline varies for each costume due to the complexity of the design. Once an order has been placed, a timeline will be shared with you before work begins on the costume.
• If the costume is being shipped, delivery dates will be confirmed in advance and respected within the agreed production window.
• Delays in providing measurements, music details, inspiration items, or approvals may affect the timeline.
• Rush orders will incur an additional fee, to be determined and shared by Karen Drury Designs LLC.
Design Approval & Modifications
• Once the design has been approved, any requested modifications will incur an additional fee of $50, plus the cost of any additional materials required.
Shipping & International Orders
• Clients are responsible for shipping costs, customs duties, taxes, and any import fees required by their country.
• Once the package has been shipped and tracking information provided, Karen Drury Designs LLC is not responsible for courier delays or customs processing times.
Fit & Measurements
• If I am not measuring you myself, then accurate measurements are the responsibility of the client.
• A detailed measurement guide is provided on the process page for ease of use.
• If a dress is shipped to you, then up up three additional fittings can be completed via Zoom within 1 month of the delivery date to ensure accurate fitment. All shipping charges are the responsibility of the client.
• Minor comfort preferences (such as desired tightness) should be clearly communicated in advance. We do not recommend allowing too much growing room as the dress will allow for some growth due to the nature of the material.
• It is very important to us that you feel beautiful in your dress, the more you can tell us about the thoughts and issues you have with previous costumes, the better we can get to know you and create a design that shows your personality.
Quality & Concerns
• Each dress undergoes careful inspection prior to shipment.
• In the unlikely event of a defect or malfunction attributable to my workmanship, it will be repaired at no additional cost.
• Any concerns must be reported in writing within 7 days of receiving the dress, including clear photographs and a detailed description of the issue so that I may rectify it as efficiently as possible.
By placing an order with Karen Drury Designs LLC, you acknowledge and accept these policies.
